Case Details

Ternary precursors are the main raw materials for manufacturing ternary materials, and the production of ternary materials requires an equal amount of ternary precursors. Currently, commercial ternary precursors mainly use the hydroxide precipitation method, which involves simultaneously adding a mixed solution of nickel, cobalt, and manganese, a precipitant, a complexing agent, and other substances to a reactor to synthesize ternary precursors under certain conditions. The co-precipitation method for preparing precursors involves preparing a soluble mixed solution of nickel, cobalt, and manganese salts, then mixing it with ammonia and alkali to form spherical hydroxides by controlling reaction conditions. Different reaction conditions will lead to different primary particles, and will also lead to different arrangements of primary particles, resulting in precursors with different properties.
